My Simple Skin care Routine For Oily Skin
I have recently gone from a SAHM for 7 years to a nursing student. Now, I am working mom who is going back to nursing school. I also wear the hats of being a mama to twins, wife and part-time blogger. I have not one but a few rewarding jobs. I do a lot and I am grateful for the opportunity to be all those things. However, one thing I don’t want to forget as a person wearing all those hats is myself. SheaMoisture products help me in achieving that. So, I am sharing my oily skin routine.
You can pick up SheaMoisture at any Albertsons Companies family of stores today (see below for your closest location!), and you can save $2 when you buy one SheaMoisture product.
Even with being busy as I am, I always want to put my best face forward in all things I do whether I’m meeting my kids home from school on the bus or assisting a patient in a procedure. So, I keep my skin routine for oily skin simple using SheaMoisture.
1. Cleanse
I use the SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Milk Cleanse on my face. It is great to use both in the morning and at night. It is a cream solution that works on cleansing my face thoroughly without drying out my combination skin. I use a facial pad to gently cleanse. Once a week, I use the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Facial Wash & Scrub to help exfoliate my skin. I do this to remove the dullness from my skin, physically get rid of the dead skin cells and smooth out my skin.
2. Moisturize
With the fall weather here, my skin needs even more moisture. With the SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Face Lotion, I know that my face will be moisturized and not greasy. It’s a lightweight face lotion that pairs well with the Milk Cleanse.
3. Compress
I use cool compresses under my eyes to help with dark circles and jade facial massage roller. I try to get 6-8 hours of sleep, but sometimes it doesn’t always happen. You can keep a spoon in the fridge before you hop in the shower. There are other tricks for this, but I find this one to be the simplest and easiest for me when I running short on time. I also increase my water intake that day as well.
That’s it – 3 steps. And these 3 steps help me feel good about myself, knowing that I am still taking care of me even when I am busy. I enjoy using SheaMoisture products as part of my skincare routine because they contain natural and certified organic ingredients and they work. I also use the 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Shampoo on dreadlocks and Conditioner on my daughter’s hair, too.
Here’s to not forgetting about you and keeping it simple.

Loved your simplest skincare routine. It’s really difficult to make time as a homemaker and mum.
