Are there so many ways to express love in a marriage. Date nights, love languages, making their favorite meal, and even love letters. Some say love letters are a lost art, but we don’t believe that. It maybe hard to come up with where to start but once you get going it is easy to write. Here are some love letter prompts to help you get started. And the nice thing about love letters is that they can be whatever you want – long or short, a post it, a letter, a text, just anything works for you and your spouse.

Love Notes to Your Spouse

  1. 5- 10 reasons why you love them.
  2. What specific features you love and why.
  3. Write a poem or tell a poem that makes you think of them.
  4. Send a love quote.
  5. Lyrics to song that remind you of them and your love.
  6. Your favorite memory of them.
  7. What you love about your love story.
  8. Something you would like to do in the future together.
  9. Tell them about your favorite talent they have.
  10. Your favorite quirks about them.
  11. How you felt when you first met.
  12. How you knew they were the one.
  13. Write a corny love phrase.
  14. 5-10 memories that encouraged you in your marriage.
  15. How you can’t possibly live without them.
  16. Things they do to make you happy and loved.
  17. Share something you love about them for every day of the year.
  18. Write loving words of affirmations.
  19. Your first date with them or a date you want to plan.
  20.  A simple I love you.

And like I said these can be done in many ways. Leaving a note on their pillow or by the nightstand. Leave a surprise note in your spouse’s purse. A sticky note on the back of their phone or on the bathroom mirror. A text message.
