I have lived in Midwest for over 13 years in the same city and just recently discovered St. Louis. My sister moved there so that gave us to reason to visit. Now, our family loves to travel to St.Louis. I am sure there is more to come.
5 Family Travel Spots in St. Louis
Chase Park Plaza Hotel
We don’t often stay in a hotel. However, this hotel used to be across the street from my sister’s apartment (she has since then moved). However, when family members do come to visit St. Louis, they do stay at the Chase Park Plaza hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel with history. They have shops and a fitness center. I love the theater they have there and kids’ favorite is the pool (and mine on a summer day). They have great summer specials (and you must check out the pool) and Spring Break specials as well.
Grant’s Farm
Grant’s Farm is a historic 281-acre ancestral home of the Busch family and landmark in Grantwood Village, Missouri. There is a lot to do for the price to take a family out for almost the day. We took the tram, watched a pet show, feed and saw animals and there is beer.
St. Louis Zoo
Almost every time we visit, we visit the zoo. The St. Louis Zoo is FREE. Yes, free. We usually do half a day there and go for a picnic and check out the surround park area. Then we may go for a second day. If you play Pokemon GO this is also a great place to go. You could easily be there all day and play Pokemon Go. And who doesn’t enjoy going to the zoo.
Saint Louis Science Center
St. Louis has an amazing Science Center and it crazy to think that there is great deal of things to see and do for free. General admission into the Science Center is free with attractions inside you have to pay for. Every time we visit we usually find something new to see as well as gravitate to the fun stuff we enjoyed from previous visits. Both adults and kids will have fun here and learn a thing or two.
City Garden
The City Garden is an urban outdoor area in downtown St. Louis. This area is great with exploring art and beautiful plants. Bonus – you can see the arch and take a perfect picture with the arch in the background. The kids have fun checking out the sculptures and playing around.
So, make your trip to St. Louis and check out these places and more. There is plenty to do in St. Louis and we are sure this will not be our last visit.
