Hello August! The hottest month of the year it seems. School is starting back up and summer breaks are coming to an end. Indiana State Fair
August would not be August without the Indiana State Fair! This year the theme is The Wonderful World of Food. The fair is has something for everyone. There is great food and classics and food you can only find at the Indiana state Fair. If food is not your thing then enjoy the rides. There will be free concerts going on. Just make sure to check the Indiana State Fair schedule. Check out the animals and learn somethings about what Indiana State has to offer and we won’t tell your kids they are learning in the process of having fun! National Night Out
If you haven’t seen the neighborhood sign for this, then take to your neighborhood association about registering (it’s free!).
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Indianapolis Indians Game
America’s favorite past time has started back up this season. Check out the Indianapolis Indians at Victory field. There are several home games during the weekend (Friday through Sunday) this month. Join the Knot Holes Kids Club if you haven’t already. The Knot Hole Kids Club is open to children 14 and under for a one-time fee of $17. Also, kids eat free on Sundays if you aren’t up for cooking.

2019 Indianapolis Colts Training Camp
Check out the Colts Training at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Hamilton County from July 25 – Aug. 15, 2019.
Admission is free, but all fans need a ticket to enter. They also have themed days and special events, like Kids Day, Armed Forces Day, First Responders Day, Sunrise Shred and more. One August 14 & August 15 the Cleveland Browns will join the Colts, two NFL teams, scrimmage and practice together.

National S’mores Day
August 10 is National S’mores Day! Here are a few places celebrating –
On August 9th join Girl Scouts of Central Indiana‘s S’mores on the Circle from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. S’mores lovers can enjoy gourmet s’mores for $5 each prepared by local chefs.
