5 Reasons Why You Need to Buy a Hybrid Smartwatch
I received this item for a limited time for review from Verizon. This is my honest opinion.
If you are like me you are on the look out for a smartwatch. You haven’t committed to one just yet. There is some things holding you back from buying that smart watch. It maybe time, it maybe price, it maybe you haven’t simply found the right one. Well, I think I found the watch for you or the one you need to check out.
When I first saw the Fossil hybrid smartwatch, it was love at first sight. Seriously! When Verizon reached out to me so that I could try it out. I happily said yes please.
For almost a year now, I have been eyeing some smartwatches . I had one in mind that I was thinking to purchase but wanted to wait one year til the kinks were out. But I guess I was waiting for the hybrid watch.
What is a hybrid smartwatch?
A hybrid smartwatch is a marriage between a regular watch and a smartwatch aka wearables. A hybrid smartwatch has some features of a traditional watch and some features of a smartwatch. They doesn’t have a touchscreen. They doesn’t usually require charging up every day and doesn’t look like a traditional smartwatch. It looks like a normal everyday watch.
5 Reasons You Should Buy a Hybrid Smartwatch
As I mentioned before I had the chance to try out the Fossil Q Applomice Hybrid smartwatch. Here are all the reasons I loved it.
1.It’s still a traditional watch. I live a good watch. It’s beautiful and classic. It nothing else I will always be able to tell time. It will never malfunction on that. A nice watch is a conversation piece and the fossil smartwatch allows you to have that capability. If you want to be techy without them over the time techy this is a great option.
2. It’s a smartwatch that does not go overboard. The smart function it has are all things I would use but the essentials are what matters and you have that. The bella and whistle are great on smartwatched but you are never going to use them. Why pay more for what you will never use.
3. Price. The price of this hybrid smartwatch will still be on the expensive side. However, it cost 50% less than the new Samsung Gear watches or the Apple watches. This is a significant savings in my book.
4. It’s not a flashy smartwatch. In the insist of working in a healthcare field you can’t or not allowed to have smartwatch or phone and when your phone is the connection to your family as a working mom this nice compromise. It doesn’t distract my colleague and I still know if my family is calling or if I need to have secondhand for taking my patients heart rate.
5. Easy to use. I didn’t have to read a manual or ask tons of questions on how to use this watch. The app was quick and ease on how to setup the watch and get it going from day one. I only have three buttons on the actual watch to mess with. The app is simple to change those buttons and that is all folks.
My Fossil Q Smartwatch Review
As a nurse professional the places that I work and do my clinical for school do not allow for smartwatches. So, this watch is perfect for me as I was doing my rounds. I knew who was calling me with just a glance at my watch and without pulling out my phone.
I programmed my husband, my 2 sisters and my mom as my people I would know I was getting a call or text from. You have option to get notifications for texts and certain apps. That was not as much of a concern for me, but I did program it for receiving text from everyone else.
I was concerned that I did not have a secondhand on this watch. However, I was able to program the stopwatch watch has been super helpful with giving treatments with a time factor so I don’t lose track of time when I have to walk away or get pulled into doing something. I can tell a colleague how long, I was away and so on.
Also, it is not obnoxious when you are looking at your watch because you got a notification. People will think you are just checking the time. This is helpful in meeting when you have to excuse yourself and when you have to return a call. Whereas, I think people give you the look when you looking at or paying attention to your obvious smartwatch and think you aren’t present there with them. Furthermore, when I am with my kids, I don’t want to be consumed by another device.
Final thoughts – I think it’s definitely a must have.
I hope you found this review helpful. If you grab this watch, please let me know what you think of it.
