As I write this post it is National Chili day. The fourth Thursday of February is known as National Chili Day.
I have a chili recipe (in fact two) that I love to make. I shared one of them as the easy & simple slow cooker chili and this one I usually make when I have a few guest coming over. I get tons of compliments about this chili. You won’t grow wrong with this recipe.
I wanted to share some of the best chili places in Indianapolis to try.
Best Chili Places in Indianapolis
Yats
If you are looking for a little variety when it comes to chili and enjoy cajun & creole food then check out Yats. They have a chili cheese étouffée with crawfish that is ah-mazing. This is my go to. They also have a White chicken chili that is really good as well with a creole flavor. Both of these are good. So, if you allergic to shellfish you can still have a chicken chili.
Yats has several locations around Indianapolis. Their dishes are first come first serve so they can run out of dish at times. So, if you have a craving get there sooner than later.
Soupremacy
With a place with soup in its name and a fun play on words they do have the soup area covered when it comes to chili. Soupremacy is located downtown and boast of having great soups and sandwiches. They do have one chili soup on their menu that is good delicious with all its other soups. Grab a panini if you like (those are good too). You won’t go wrong having chili here – plus the delivery too.
Nick’s Chili Parlor
Named one of the best chili places in Indianapolis – Nicki’s Chili Parlor. You can get your chili in a bowl with spaghetti noodles or on a hot dog. Interesting fact – I never had chili with noodles until I moved to Indiana. I went home with a college friend for dinner and she served chili with noodles. So, I ask if getting Indiana version of chili aka chili with noodles. 😊
So you have a family where some like it with noodles or on their hot dogs, this is the place. My favorite is the Slaw dog. Yum!
Those are my top 3 places for chili. As we get to try more – I will definitely be adding more places. Please tell me what is your favorite chili place in Indianapolis in the comments below?
