Looking for quarantine date night ideas at home now that we are all quarantined? I am sharing some ideas on simple and cheap date night ideas that you can do in the comfort of your home. Remember date night ideas during quarantine don’t have to be over the top.
Quarantine Date Ideas
Movie Night
There are still movies to be watched. You can have a quarantine date night with a weekly movie night and cuddle next to each other when the kids go to sleep. Take turns picking out a movie and get some popcorn or favorite treat you enjoy. We just watched John Wick 3 – I picked the movie!
DIY Spa Night
Create your own couple spa night. Have a nice bath with the bath bombs and bath oils and soak in together. Enjoy some music and light those candles. Take turns giving each massages and have a little bit of conversation. Better than a spa and less expensive.
Concerts
Lots of events have been cancelled to help reduced the spread of COVID-19. Luckily, events are getting creative and still bringing entertainment to the home without going out. Here’s a list of virtual concerts and livestreaming concerts you can check out for a cheap date night at home. You can check music from pop artists, classical and Americana. I am sure more will be added with the days to come. We have seen concerts from Erykah Badu & Keith Urban online. Grab your partner and relax or dance to some music.
Updated Backstreet Boys, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish and more concert – March 29th

Binge Watch
With streamlining services you can binge watch shows for days. Here’s a list of 40 shows to binge watch from different streamlining services from the Denver Housewife. You and your spouse can pick a show to watch almost every night to get your alone time together. Make some popcorn and binge watch away. I recommended putting a cap on watching 1-2 episodes a night because these shows are addicting.
Take Out
All the restaurants maybe closed for dining in but you can still dine out. Try a new restaurant and get it to go. Look to support your local small eatery and order take out or grab a gift card for a later time if you like. You can even grab a coffee or a tea to go and just hang out in the car and talk. You still get some quality time with your spouse and you don’t have to spend time getting dressed up to grab your food or drinks to go.
Game Night
There are two person games you can play as couple. Here are a few – Jenga, Chess, Checkers, Phase 10, Dominoes. Andy & I played Monopoly on our son’s Nintendo switch and Mario Kart for the first time. We played for a few hours. It was definitely fun and can’t wait to do it again. Here are other date night games you can play.
Cooking
There a few places I have seen with cooking kits. You are willing to try something new. Grab a cooking or a baking kit and have a date night. You can also check some YouTube channels to find something with ingredients in your pantry.
Car Date
What’s a car date? Well, a just a simple date in the car. Grab some take out or get some of your favorite snacks. Go for a picnic or depending on your location go watch the sunset or do some stargazing. Drive around ask one of conversation starters found on Pinterest. Do fun activities while riding around
- kiss at the red lights
- take a couple selfie at your favorite spot
- have a 2 minute make out session in an empty parking lot
- play a game of romantic would you rather

Loved getting some ideas!
It gets kind of difficult to plan at times, but is fun trying to get creative. For one of our date nights, my husband and I played tennis and made an indoor fire pit to make some s’mores.
Thanks again for sharing!

My wife and I have been together for 8.5 years and married for 1. During the quarantine we did an at home date night where I purchased a six pack of beer (all different beers) and poured a bit in individual solo cups. I called it a blind taste test and each cup had a hint as to where we were, what we did, or a unique experience related to each beer. Needless to say a fun walk down memory lane.
