When I first learned that I was going to be reviewing Chewbeads, I was hesitant. To be honest, I have never given my kids anything like this teething necklace. I have used popsickles, frozen fruit in those little mesh bags, and infant toys but nothing that we could actually share together.
For those of you who have little experience with Chewbeads, like me, let me tell you a little about them. They are jewelry that Mama gets to wear that is made of 100% silicone, dishwasher safe, and BPA, phthalates, lead, cadmium and meta free. Chewbeads was created by a mom who wanted to make something fashionable and chewable for her teething son.
I have a nineteen month old who most definitely likes putting things in his mouth. When I first got Chewbeads, I wasn’t sure he would even use them. I’ve never worn anything that he was allowed to pull on. I’m talking here about my earrings! That is a big “no-no” in my book. So, when I got the Chewbeads, I first gave them to him and told him he could chew on them. From that moment on, he was hooked.
I have to say, I love Chewbeads! I wore that necklace almost everywhere. I didn’t wear them just for my toddler to have something to chew on when I held him, and not just for my newborn to stare at, as she often did (let’s face it, these are super cute) but I wore them for myself. Chewbeads are the perfect gift for a new Mama or even a more experienced one. If you seen their website, go take a look and be prepared to get a few of these gems.
On an extra special note, whenever my son sees the Chewbeads, he grabs them and brings them to me and says, “Pretty Mama.” Oh yeah, that alone makes them pretty awesome in my book!
