What is Doctor on Demand? It is a healthcare service that provides Video Visits with board certified physicians, psychologists, and lactation consultants (love this for breastfeeding mamas) via smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
How does Doctor on Demand work? Through the app or visit www.doctorondemand.com on their desktop computer, provide a list of their symptoms, and are instantly connected to a provider licensed in their state for a video visit.
We had the chance to review the app and loved it. Here’s our Mom Review of Doctor on Demand. It was easy to get started. I downloaded the app and put in my information: name, address, DOB, etc. Once I decided to make my video call ($40 for 15 min), I entered all the necessary information for the patient, which was my daughter, so that they could give it to the doctor to review before speaking with me.
As a mom, I enjoyed not having to set an appointment the next day, sit in a waiting room, or drive in the cold weather. So, if you pediatrician office is closed and your child woke up with a fever and a terrible cough, instead of going to urgent care (or the ER), Doctor on Demand can connect you with a doctor. Or if you have UTI and you need is a prescription, this app is great for situations like this.
The app can be used for the following:
• cold, cough, flu, allergies
• rash, Pink eye, hayfever
• Asthma, bladder infections
• pediatric questions
• most cases that are not life threatening
• prescriptions refills
• referral to a specialist
This year’s flu season has been the worst in nearly a decade and we want anyone who may be affected by the flu to have access to the care they need. We are extending an offer for a $25 medical visit now through March 7. Use code FLU1850.
This month Doctor On Demand is offering everyone their first visit for FREE!
1. Just download the app
2. Use the code FAMILY15 and store it in your account
