Our Favorites: Back to School Backpacks

This post contains referral links at no cost to you. Thanks for keeping the lights on at Becoming Family.

It’s that time again. Summer is ending and school is starting.I hate to admit it, but I have not been on top of my game this year when it came to school supplies. To be honest, I saw the paper sheet with my kids’ school name and there were no papers that listed the school supplies they needed. I was secretly relieved. I love summer and I am not ready for summer to be over. I am not ready to buy school supplies. However, I did grab some crayons because I knew they would need them and I know that I will be needing a couple of new packs myself and this is the time to grab them on sale.

Another thing I know that my kids need are backpacks. It is kind of one of my favorite things to shop for because you have a selection of backpacks to choose from. It’s a fashion piece that holds my kid’s education and lunchbox. And when they are not in school it holds their stuff for playdates and camping trips. I wanted to share some of my favorites as well other moms I know who recommended this backpacks for their kiddos.

All this backpacks are durable. We have used some of the backpacks and couldn’t be happier and such brands like Land’s End, stand by their products. And currently, many of these brands are having back to school sales and it is a great time to save more money.

Make sure that when you are picking out your child’s backpack that you  keep some of these things in mind:

  • pick an appropriate size backpack for your child(no wider than shoulder and does not drop past their bottom)
  • choose a backpack that distributes the weight evenly over their torso
  • their backpack should not weigh more than 10 percent of their body

Today’s backpacks are much more stylish and creative looking than when I grew up in the ’90s.
