Finding a restaurant that doesn’t have at least one traditional cheeseburger on the menu is like looking for a needle in a haystack. On the flip side, finding a restaurant that prides themselves on their wide breadth of legitimately savory burgers, though probably not quite as unique as finding a restaurant without a burger at all, is certainly more rewarding when you find it, if you enjoy a good gourmet burger.
I won’t argue that making a burger doesn’t seem all that glamourous. I mean let’s face it, the thought of going to a “burger joint” doesn’t exactly spawn the same excitement or expectations as going to a different type of specialty restaurant, like let’s say an Italian restaurant. You get a bun, a meat patty, and some variety of condiments. There’s really nothing too exciting about that, right? Well, what if the variety of condiments are as unique and fun as the ambiance of the restaurant? Throw in some exceptionally decedent desserts, the fact that the only frozen items are ice cream and ice (no walk in freezers!!), a full bar, a wide array of local craft beers, prime rib patties, a train (yes, I said a train), and you have one enjoyable burger eating experience!
Recently I had the pleasure of dinning at the Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern on the south side of Indianapolis. As a part of my dining experience, I was afforded the “rare” pleasure of sampling a multitude of their new fall season appetizers and some of their new fall entree menu including a couple of different Turkey Burgers. As I mentioned, one doesn’t expect to find such succulent options on the appetizer menu as sriracha flatbread, spicy artichoke dip, and blue buffalo tavern fries, at a “burger joint.” However, Baggar Dave’s offered generous portions of these incredibly tasty options, and so much more.
Is your mouth watering for a burger and some artichoke dip yet? Quickly get to your local Bagger Dave’s and check out their amazing FRESH menu and their awesome service! They have specials weekly, and my most favorite part that is always available? The build your own burger option. That’s right, you choose the meat, bun, toppings, and sauces. And did I mention they have the best ranch dressing I’ve ever tasted?

My husband and I used to go around weekly looking for the best hamburger in the area. A good burger, in my opinion, is almost as good as a steak.
