Leapfrog has come out with another educational game for kids, just in time for Christmas. We had a chance to host a MommyParty to try out LeapTV.
A little information about LeapTV if you are hearing about it for the first time. It’s a game system. How does LeapTV differ from other game systems? It’s more about putting action with education. Leapfrog has always been about educating our children, now they want to incorporate being active. LeapTV gets kids to learn through active play. So, kids are having fun playing & learning! The game system setup for the party was not too bad. I love not having a complicated setup process.
One of the things I love is that the camera is super easy to setup and calibrate. Love that! For our party, we had a great age range from ages 2 years old (LeapTV is recommended starting at age 3) and up to 7 years old. I was able to register up to 5 profiles that were unique to each child. After the register, the kids got a chance to play games. Some games require the controller, some do not (which is great for the younger kids) and use your child’s motion to help control the game as the game talks to them.
We think LeapTV hit the nail on the head with its concept if incorporating active play with learning. It’s designed with young kids in mind. If you have not bought a gaming system yet and want to for your little one (Christmas gift), this would be the one. Not only is it going to keep your child active and learning, but as your child learning progresses so does the game. Great to know your child is always learning and won’t out grow a game in a few months.
