Winterlights at Newfields
Winterlights at Newfields is a new family tradition for Indy. A dazzling choreographed lightshow invites you to walk through the garden trails as you sip your favorite hot beverage. From the “whimsy trees” to the lawn, it will be impossible to not marvel at Indy’s newest holiday date night or family outing destination.
Foods and drinks available include Newfields beer from Taxman Brewery, s’more kits sold by local Girl Scouts, hot apple cider (can be spiked with Bulleit bourbon), hot chocolate, (can be spiked with peppermint Schnapps), wine in a can, warm cinnamon roasted almonds, and warm cookies.
Tickets: $20-$25, adults; $12-$17, youth 6-17; $15-$20, adult members; $8-$13, youth members 6-17; free, children 5 and under. November 23-January 5, 2020 from 5-9PM
Plan ahead and save $5 per ticket by purchasing before December 3rd.
Lights at the Brickyard
Starting on November 27th the Indianapolis Motor Speedway opens to celebrate the their annual inaugural holiday event. Lights at the Brickyard is usually a 2+ mile drive-through holiday display with 3 million bright lights illuminating an expanded lineup of colorful displays, but last year they expanded this and now travels through the IMS infield and along the front stretch of the historic oval—will cross the world-famous Yard of Bricks start-finish line.
IMS will be hosting “Toy Tuesday” each Tuesday during Lights at the Brickyard presented by Fifth Third Bank. When fans bring toys to donate to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, they will receive $5.00 off their Standard Lane ticket. Toys must be brand new, unwrapped, latex-free and non-toxic. Toys cannot be handmade or contain glitter.
You can also check out the Plaza Village. It is the perfect chance for groups of friends and families to sit next to cozy fire pits as they admire the famed IMS Pagoda lit up for the holidays. S’mores kits, seasonal food and beverages, and retail opportunities will be available.
There’s two new experiences in and around the IMS Pagoda are now available, exclusively for Speedy Pass ticket holders: The Pagoda Lookout Experience and a Santa Claus meet and greet.
Purchase tickets from October – January 5, 2020. Purchase tickets Monday-Wednesday: $25 per car, Thursday-Sunday: $30 per car or get speedy tickets for $50. They are also opened Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Get tickets here.
A Merry Prairie Holiday at Conner Prairie
Add the Merry Prairie Holiday to your family tradition. This is a Conner Prairie holiday family fun that you and your family will enjoy. All under the shimmering backdrop of a local, time-honored favorite moving to a new home at Conner Prairie: the Reynolds Farm Equipment Christmas Lights. Ticket sales started on September 3, 2019. Open from 6-10 p.m., Friday-Sunday (gates are open from 6-9 p.m.)
On December 31, there will be a special New Year’s Eve celebration for the whole family, with a special early fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Circle of Lights Tree Lighting at Monument Circle
Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Circle of Lights is big must do for the family! Happening on November 29, 6-8pm for festivities. The lighting of tree somewhere between 7:30-7:50pm. Head down to Monument Circle the Friday after Thanksgiving to kick off the Christmas holiday season with the lighting of 4,784 lights. Travelocity named the Circle of Lights® one of the top five “must-see Christmas trees” in the nation. Presented by the IBEW 481. To conclude the evening, watch the sky for a spectacular fireworks finale. Free.
Indianapolis Zoo Christmas at the Zoo
The Indianapolis Zoo with celebrate its 50th annual holiday event with Santa workshop, carolers, holiday photos and more at the zoo. Christmas at the Zoo has been voted in the top five of USA Today’s 10 Best Zoo Lights for three years in a row!
Enjoy lights and see animals exhibits that will be open later just for you staring November 23. This year they are offering more opportunities to visit, with Mondays and Tuesdays added in as well as extended hours until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.. Find out more details at Indianapolis Zoo.
