It’s #TechieThursday! Today’s technology is the Samsung S5.
I had no intention of switching from my beloved Galaxy Note II and was not due for an upgrade, but I was switching cell phone companies. When you switch, you can’t take your cell phone with you. I loved my Galaxy Note II and still use it, but I decided on the Samsung S5 with my new cell phone company. I am an Android woman after all! I choose the Samsung Galaxy S5 because of the 16-megapixel camera, 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, water resistance, heart rate monitor and fingerprint reader. Whew!
I have had the Samsung Galaxy 5 for about a week now. What stands out to me the most? How vibrant the colors are on my phone. The display is amazing. The colors simply pop! I don’t know much about the processor, but was told that it was much faster. Reading emails, getting on Facebook, and searching on the internet has not presented with any hiccups, so I am happy there. This phone is a powerful smartphone! I definitely love all the features I am used to with Samsung including the newer features like Isis Wallet and private mode, of which I am still learning. I am also happy Samsung didn’t take away the apps that I liked such as the Drivemode and Google now (which has improved) and S voice.
If you are a fan of Samsung and Android you will love this phone. If you were entertaining the idea of looking at the Samsung Galaxy 5, it’s definitely worth checking it out.
I have heard awesome things about this!! We are apple people, BUT I would totally be down to switch! Love this!
I have to agree if I switched back to a non-apple phone I think I would be lost.
My oldest two boys (grown and on their own) are both thinking of switching to the Samsung Galaxy too. Seems to be getting more and more popular!
Yes. Samsung has been surpassed other cell phone companies in sales last quarter, so they are awesome phones.
Sounds like a great phone. I’ll have to take a closer look next time I’m at the mall.
That sounds like a really great phone.
I have a note 2. But generally you can take your phone if they can be unlocked. It socks though. Most countries don’t allow this proprietary phone crap. Enjoy your new.phone.
Die hard apple user here but I am pretty impressed by this phone!
Yes, Samsung is stepping up. My husband, who loves Apple, almost got the Samsung GS5, but changed his mind at the last minute.
My hubby has a samsung but I think he has the 4.
Will have to show this to him because his is on the fritz.
;0)
I have heard good things about this, but right now I am under contract for the phone I have.
Sounds like an amazing phone. Heard a lot of good stuff.
My fiance is a big Android fan. I’m bias to Apple. I have had every iPhone for many years now. I don’t think I’ll ever convert and neither will he.
I’ve only heard good things about this phone. I’d love to switch, but it just isn’t in our budget right now. But maybe one day!
I really like Samsung products. I would really like to get this as my next phone.
My husband was just telling me tonight how much he wants one of these!
What a great phone! Looks like you got a great deal
I need a phone upgrade and I’m still balancing the pro and con of the Samsung 5 and the iPhone 5 it’s so hard to pick one
I am on the Galaxy 3 now, but I have to admit after attending the Global Launch of the LG G2 I lean a bit more toward the LG, but I love reading reviews as I tend to change technology often! (I outgrow tech toys pretty quickly!)
I really samsung and all their products. I am looking to make the change as well.
My hubby only buys Samsung! We have never had a issue with any thing Samsung!
I’ve dabbled in some Samsung phones and I had the S4. It was a really nice phone so I can see why you like the 5.
I have an s3 right now & am thinking of doing the upgrade… but with my plan I need to buy the phone outright, so maybe I will hold off a little longer.
I love my iPhone but it’s always tempting to check out new phones – especially when you make this one sound so good!
I have an android and getting ready for an upgrade. You gave me lots to think about. Much appreciated.
Oh! Sounds like a great phone but I’m afraid I’m dedicated to my iPhone. Glad to know you like it 🙂
I got to try out the Samsung Galaxy and loved the camera! It’s a very nice phone! I wish I didn’t have to send it back!
Thanks for the compelling reason on why I should switch too! I am looking for an upgrade to my current phone.
Wow, there are some great attributes to this phone! I am going to look into it a bit more, thank you 🙂
