We checked out for the first time Gatlinburg a few weeks back for a weekend trip. Instantly we fell in love. We decided to travel to Gatlinburg for our Fall Break for about a week. When you are Gatlinburg you are going to being eating out at least once if not more. We ate out several different places.
5 Best Family and Kid Friendly Restaurants in Gatlinburg
Crockett’s Breakfast Camp
The menu is a on newspaper that you can read once you are done with the menu.
There are great menu choices and the food is great. We went there twice and the kids ordered the giant cinnamon rolls and then we ordered 6 giant cinnamon rolls to go. They were that yummy.
Dad’s Old General Store
This place is a general. You are going to have to take a few step and look around the corner and see you can order from their huge menu. Tell your kids to have a seat and you place your order. You can eat there (they have two table) or take it to go. I forgot to take pictures probably because I found they have Cheerwine at that general store and lost my mind in happiness. This soda is not found readily available in Indianapolis but it is oh so good. So, with Cheerwine and good food, Dad’s Old General Store made the list.
Cherokee Grill
Cherokee Grill is great place to take the kids so don’t let the fanciness of the outside fool you. They have a kids menu with great prices. My son who sometimes ventures out decided on the grilled cheese sandwich and it was great. The atmosphere is enjoyable for the family and the food is good. I had the Grilled Asian Steak Salad & Andy had the Fresh Herb Crusted Trout.
Log Cabin Pancake House
The Log Cabin Pancake House is another great breakfast place. It feels like the original Cracker Barrel. I think the word is already out about this place. We arrived promptly around 7am. Around 8am, the place was place was starting to get packed. So arrive early if you want to no wait, so if you have young kids who like to wake up early, this place is for you.
Smoky Mountain Brewery Restaurant
I never thought about eating at a brewery together as a family. However, this is a definitely a good one to check out first. There’s food, beer and entertainment. You don;t have to worry about what to order the kids because there is something they will like (like grilled cheese for my son). And I highly recommend ordering the wings. There’s music Thursday-Saturday for the family to enjoy.
We hope that this helped you find a great kid friendly restaurants in Gatlinburg. Is there one you enjoyed and would recommend to us?
